I really don't like to say things like this, but,Rupp will be screaming full every game that UK plays this year and probably for years to come. If Coach Barbee gets Lacey, he will be the recruiter of the Century. But, I have not the slightest doubt. Coach Barbee will try with the class Auburn expects. There will not be one negative word against any program, and lots of positive words about Auburn. Class hire it there ever was one.

I sure hope we can land Lacey, but my first reaction to him coming down for a mid-week official visit might have something to do with the power problems in North Alabama. As of this morning, most of Madison, Morgan and Limestone counties don't have power. If it were me, I'd much rather spend a few days on the Plains, than at home with no power, hot water, etc.
I'm not trying to be negative, just offering that out there. FWIW.

There are lots of players out there with similar ability who will develop into his caliber within a college atmosphere. If he goes elsewhere, Barbee needs to find one of those guys who always show up at the NCAA tourney, who weren't heavily recruited - THAT is coaching.

I think getting Lacey on campus is a major recruiting win for coach Barbee. I would not have bet a nickle that he would ever be there. Good job to the coaches.
