Decision in one week

Jayron Kearse left his first-ever visit to Auburn last weekend with two Tigers at the top of his list. Now, the 4-star athlete from South Fort Myers in Fort Myers, Fla., is ready to make a decision.

“AFTER SEEING ALL THE SCHOOLS I'M CONSIDERING I WILL BE MAKING MY DECISION NEXT SUNDAY,” Kearse posted on his Twitter page, @JayronKearse8, Friday night.

He followed that up with another tweet clarifying that his decision would actually come in just one week.

“TYPO ON MY LAST TWEET NEXT FRIDAY,” he posted.

He added an hour later that he would announce his decision 3 p.m. Friday at South Fort Myers High School.

Kearse named Auburn and Clemson his top two last weekend. He visited Clemson last month.

“Right now, it’s basically a race between Auburn and Clemson,” Kearse said last weekend. “(Auburn) is an SEC school and that’s the best competition. That’s where the best players go. I feel like if I can do my thing in the SEC, I’m showing I’m one of the best players at my position.

“...It’s the coaches and the atmosphere (at Clemson). The coaches are straight-forward with me. They don’t BS me. That’s what has them up there with me.”

Kearse, 6-foot-4 and 185 pounds, actually committed to Auburn last August but flipped to Miami following a visit there in January. He decommitted from the Canes following his trip to Clemson.

Kearse is rated the nation’s No. 26 athlete by 247Sports.
