AUBURN, Ala. -- Veteran Bryan Matthews bounced back in a big way with a 17-1 week to beat newcomer Austin Penny, who finished 15-3.

Matthews correctly picked Georgia over LSU and Pittsburgh over Virginia.
In what remains a very tight race, Matthews has a 78-20 record, which is one game better than Penny at 77-21.
Auburn is back in action Saturday as No. 24 Ole Miss visits Jordan-Hare Stadium in a key SEC West battle.
No. 24 Ole Miss (3-1, 1-1 SEC) at Auburn (3-1, 1-1)
Bryan’s take: It’s a very important game for both teams and I expect both coaches to pull out all the stops. Ole Miss is coming off an embarrassing loss and will have it’s back against the wall with upcoming games against Texas A&M and LSU. I expect Auburn to show a lot of improvement after a week off. That will make the difference.
Auburn 30, Ole Miss 27
Austin’s take: The Auburn, Ole Miss game will be a very intriguing matchup. Both teams are coming into this weekend with identical records, and plenty to prove. I expect a Cody Parkey field goal to settle the score in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Auburn 31, Ole Miss 28
Georgia State (0-4) at Alabama (4-0, 2-0)
Austin’s take: This isn’t going to be a very entertaining game.
Alabama 49, Georgia State 10
Bryan’s take: This is a game that should never have been scheduled.
Alabama 62, Georgia State 7
No. 6 Georgia (3-1, 2-0) at Tennessee (3-2, 0-1)
Bryan’s take: Tennessee is really bad on defense and not much better on offense. This will get ugly fast.
Georgia 45, Tennessee 13
Austin’s take: Quarterback Aaron Murray led the Bulldogs to an impressive win over LSU last week. I wouldn’t expect for Tennessee to be much of a problem.
Georgia 41,Tennessee 13
Arkansas (3-2, 0-1) at No. 18 Florida (3-1, 2-0)
Austin’s take: That Gator defense is about as stout as they come. We will have to see if they can keep up with Arkansas’ running game.
Florida 24, Arkansas 14
Bryan’s take: I like those Arkansas running backs but I don’t think they’ll find much room against a stout Florida defense.
Florida 26, Arkansas 17
No. 10 LSU (4-1, 1-1) at Mississippi State (2-2, 0-1)
Bryan’s take: The Bulldogs had a week off to prepare but I don’t think it will make much of a difference.
LSU 31, Mississippi State 17
Austin’s take: LSU took a rough loss last weekend to Georgia. I expect them to bounce back against Mississippi State.
LSU 28, Mississippi State 17
Kentucky (1-3, 0-1) at No. 13 South Carolina (3-1, 1-1)
Austin’s take: The Gamecocks had some trouble against UCF last weekend. I wouldn’t expect for Kentucky to put up much of a fight.
South Carolina 34, Kentucky 14
Bryan’s take: I expect the Wildcats to make it interesting but I’ll give the Gamecocks another ugly win.
South Carolina 23, Kentucky 16
Missouri (4-0, 0-0) at Vanderbilt (3-2, 0-2)
Bryan’s take: Missouri is off to a great start but I think the Commodores are lying in wait. Show your gold.
Vanderbilt 25, Missouri 23
Austin’s take: I have given praise to Vanderbilt all season long. I have also criticized Missouri pretty bad. Missouri gets the nod because of their experience and powerful offense.
Missouri 34, Vanderbilt 31
