In a little over a month, Divine Myles should know what school he’ll be attending next year.
Auburn is in good shape for Myles.
The point guard from Blount in Eight Mile, Ala., attended Auburn’s camp Sunday and said Tony Barbee and the Tigers’ staff are ready to accept his commitment.
“They said anytime I’m ready to come, they’d love to get me up here,” Myles said. “They love how I play and love how I’ve grown as a player since the last time they saw me in Birmingham at state.”
Myles, 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds, was offered by Auburn earlier this year and has the Tigers among his leaders. He saw the Tigers host Florida at the Auburn Arena in February.
“I like it because it’s close to Mobile and my parents would be able to come to every game,” he said. “I came down and watched them play and I love the Auburn family and I love how the fans supported the team.
“Even though Florida had a pretty good lead, they still stayed with them until the very end.”
Myles stays in close contact with Auburn assistant coach Tony Madlock.
“We talk every other week and I tell him a lot of stuff that I need to know and he gives me the right answers. We have a real strong relationship,” Myles said.
Myles has offers from Auburn, Seton Hall and South Alabama. He would like to have a decision by the end of July and doesn’t claim any current favorites.
“I’m just enjoying the process of the recruiting period,” he said.
