Chizik: QB race goes on

AUBURN - Auburn coach Gene Chizik had kind words for the quarterbacks Tuesday as the Tigers returned to practice after two days off.

But he was offering no hints of how the race to be the starter would end.

"I thought the quarterbacks did well," said Chizik, who was harsh in his criticism last Friday. "We are in a comprehensive evaluation."

Sophomore Kiehl Frazier, junior Clint Moseley and true freshman Jonathan Wallace are the candidates to be the starter.

With the season-opener against Clemson 11 days away, Chizik acknowledged that a decision must come soon on who will start at quarterback and other positions.
