Players from Auburn’s last four undefeated and untied football teams will gather in Dothan on Thursday night for a special cause.

Dothan’s entry in the Special Olympics won the volleyball national championship and is raising money to go compete for the world championship in Athens, Greece. In what is being billed as “Champions Helping Champions,” they’ll play a match against players from Auburn’s 2010 national champions at Northview High School in Dothan on Thursday night.
Tickets are $10 and proceeds will go to finance the team’s trip.
Not only will players from the 1957, 1993, 2004 and 201 teams be on hand, but more than dozen other former Auburn players. They’ll be available for autographs and pictures before the match, scheduled to start at 7:20 p.m.
Here is the tentative list of former Tigers who’ll be there to support Dothan’s national champions:
1957: Tommy Lorino, Jackie Burkett, Lloyd Nix, Dan Pressley.
1993: Greg Thompson and Jay Noland.
2004: Bret Eddins, Joe Cope, Jeremy Ingle, Antarrious Williams, Will Herring.
Others: Tom Bryan, Merrill Shirley, John Seastrunk, Lee Gross, Dustin Byrd, Larry Blakeney, Ben Thomas, Randy Walls, Rusty Deen, Terry Henley, Ben Leard, Charlie Trotman, Tommie Agee, Kendall Simmons, Jim Thompson.
