Thousands of Auburn fans turn out for pep rally in Scottsdale/Phillip Marshall
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Thousands of Auburn fans swarmed to the waterfront here Sunday for a boisterous pep rally. So large was the crowd the fire marshal refused forced hundreds to watch from a nearby parking deck.
Even as some Auburn travelers faced problems because of forecasted icy weather in Alabama, others filled the airport, restaurants, hotels and streets in Phoenix, Scottsdale and surrounding areas.
They are here for a long-awaited chance at a national championship. The No. 1 Tigers (13-0) play No. 2 Oregon (12-0) Monday at 7:30 p.m. CST at University of Phoenix Stadium’
