Auburn picked up another big Signing Day commitment and signing.
Adams is an Auburn Tiger.
Defensive tackle Montravius Adams, a 5-star defensive tackle from Dooly County in Vienna, Ga., announced he was signing with the Tigers on ESPNU Wednesday morning.
"It was mostly based on my family and where I think is the best place for me to go for the next three or four years," Adams said on ESPNU. "...I love the coaches there and I love the players there. It’s just the place I want to be."
He is the second 5-star defensive lineman to sign with the Tigers Wednesday morning joining defensive end Elijah Daniel, who was committed to Ole Miss.
Auburn also signed 5-star defensive end Carl Lawson Wednesday morning.
"That was very important. You always need great players to play with you," Adams said.
Adams, 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds, chose Auburn over more than 20 offers including his other three finalists: Alabama, Georgia and Clemson.
Adams officially visited Auburn last weekend.
Adams had 84 tackles, 45 tackles-for-loss and 10 sacks as a senior. He is rated the nation’s No. 2 defensive tackle and No. 10 overall prospect by 247Sports.
